Another chance to travel to Scotland with Passerine!

Are you regretting having missed our first trip to Scotland last month?  Well, don’t despair!  You still have a chance to join us on a musical tour of the Scottish Highlands, May 19-29, 2026.

Honestly, we didn’t really know what we were getting ourselves into, but it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic experience for all of us.  We had the opportunity to see the country, meet some great Scottish musicians, learn some Scottish history, and immerse ourselves in Scottish culture in the company of a great group of people.   You can see photos from the “Beyond the Borders” tour on our Facebook page:  “Scotland Folk Tours with Passerine”

In May, we’ll be leading the “Beyond the Tartan” tour to the Scottish Highlands.  The tour starts out with 4 days in the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh.  On day 5, our driver and guide will take us north into the Highlands, through Glencoe to our next stop in Kyle near the Skye Bridge. Day 6 will be an exploration of the Isle of Skye.  On day 7, we’ll visit and isle of Raasay and visit a distillery.  (What would a trip to the Highlands be without a wee taste of the “water of life”?).

On day 8 we’ll travel to our accommodations in Inverness so that we can so a little hunting for Nessie on Day 9.  On day 10, we’ll visit the Culloden battlefield and head south to our final stop in Stirling.

As we travel, we’ll make frequent stops with our guide, and there will be live music each evening– sometimes with Passerine, sometimes with local musicians.
